Resources for Penpals

A humongous thank you: We are grateful for the work of Black and Pink, an incredible penpal network lead by LGBTQ+ abolitionists who have inspired much of our project. We give thanks for the great work Black and Pink has done in demonstrating the power in building community between people inside and outside. Organizers from Black and Pink generously gave us feedback and support as we developed this project. If you are in the LGBTQ community, you can find a pen-pal anywhere in the country through them. For straight and cis people too, they're a great program to publicize and to donate to financially if you're able to do so and have a lot of helpful resources to explore.

Here are a few other prison penpal programs you can take a look at:

Here are some extra resources on sending books and magazines to people in prison, and if you have any to add - let us know! We haven't explored all of these fully so feedback is welcomed.
